Orlando Transgender Day of Remembrance 2019 (TDOR)
GIFT holds an annual Orlando Transgender Day of Remembrance event.
Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDoR), which occurs annually on November 20, is a day to memorialize those who have been killed as a result of transphobia and to bring attention to the continued violence endured by the transgender community. Wikipedia
The evening’s activities include poetry readings and performances, inspirational speakers, reading of the names and a benediction.
This year’s event will be held Wednesday, November 20th, 2019 at Valencia College East. Tables will be set up at 2:00 pm with entertainment starting at 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Inspirational speakers will be from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm followed by the candlelight vigil and reading of the names at 9:15 pm.
Tables, entertainment and speakers will be in Building 5, Room 112 with the reading of the names outdoors.
